Nicole Moorman
Nicole Moorman was born and raised in Chicago, IL. Nicole accepted an academic scholarship to Southern Illinois University where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Pre-Law Studies in 2010. While at SIU, Nicole became very active on campus where she was a member of the Student Body Government, Criminal Justice Association and Pre-Law Association.

Upon graduating, Nicole moved to Atlanta, Ga., where she obtained her Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice at Troy University, graduating with honors. After working with the state for nearly five years as a Felony Probation Officer and Specialized Task Force Agent, Nicole was offered admission to Emory University School of Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctor in 2018. While at Emory, Nicole interned with the DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office and was active in many organizations on campus to include: Criminal Law Society, Georgia Association of Women Lawyers, Alternative Dispute Resolution, to name a few.
Nicole specializes in criminal defense, focusing primarily on felony and federal cases.

Sofia Hirani
Paralegal Consultant
Sofia Hirani was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Technical Management with a concentration in Health Services in 2018 from DeVry University. During the latter years of her undergraduate studies, Sofia started working fulltime at a home health agency, and shortly thereafter began a career in law.

In 2017, Sofia made her way into immigration law, where she worked primarily in family-based immigration. From there she continued her journey into criminal defense for 3 years and went on
to earn a paralegal certificate from Emory University in 2019.
In August 2020, Sofia branched off and started her paralegal consulting firm, Hirani Consulting, LLC, where she assists attorneys in any means necessary.
Currently she consults with large corporations, sole practitioners, boutique firms, CJA attorneys on federal matters, and even consults with attorneys and individuals on criminal record restrictions.
Sofia has an extensive background in criminal defense and since her start with criminal defense work, Sofia has become an active member of the Georgia Justice Project. As a volunteer of the
Georgia Justice Project, she has devoted time to the Criminal Records Clinic, working with indigent members of society that are in need of record restrictions.
Sofia enjoys reading and being a part of recreational flag football leagues.
